Her ex would not allow it ????? I hope he has not made any threat to her.
Your daughter should look into the possibility of moving close to her family, if she has not done so. Regardless of what the 50/50 law is in Mississippi, because these are indeed certain circumstances, that I'm sure would be reviewed. This is a time when families need each other, and need the comfort. Please have he look into it.
Hello,
he ex will not only allow it, he has threatened her with a very posible kidnapping charge if she takes the boys out of Harrison County, Mississippi.
We have hired lawyers and looked in to it every way we possibly could, but with only limited income, there is only so much we can do. His family is a well connected family in Long Beach with money(his mother is the Postmaster) and mydaughter is a single Native American mother that is way out of her comfort zone.
This is a small southern Mississipi town where everyone knows anyone, and most likely there are family ties for him in the Harrison County Court House.
She was here on the Wind River Reservation 2 years ago and he took the boys back to Mississippi, started Court Papers before we even known where he and boys are. So he got away with kidnapping and Mississippi Law is backing him up.
We have looked in to it, we have tried everything we possibly could, but without a high dollar lawyer that is not from Harrison County, there is nothing we can do.
Sincerely
Jenaka
