I think that you should definitely keep your MIL away f rom your children for now, but I also think that you and your husband should help your MIL to give up drink. Abandoning her will only make her worse and after all she was kind enough to help u mind your children, whom I'm sure she loves. She needs to get help from AA and/or a doctor. Give her some love and understanding but definitely keep her away from the kids and show her that she will be a part of their lives if she can stop drinking. Alcoholism is a disease and u need to understand that.
