Mental Health and breakups

Quote From: momsopinion

I am concerned for the mental health of all the women posting on dontdatehim web site. They sound so hurt, but they don't get the fact that they are not only hurting these guys they are hurting their families and themselves. They vent out and lets be truthful when we are mad and hurt we talk way too much. I think they should learn to forgive and forget. I learned as a child that the one that gets mad first losses. I think that if you are hurt yes you can sit down and write everything that is hurting you but do it in a piece of paper then shred it. I have been hurt by many people but if i would just let it consume me I would not be able to be whole. I hope you get what I am trying to say.
I believe that the women who post on this site in fact DO not neccessarily want to cause hurt so mcu as woarn other women as to the hurtfull and sometimes dangerous behaviors of the men they have dated in the past. While we have all experienced breakup and pain from rejection, I feel these women feel that they were not simply dumped but victimized. As they do not want other women to go through the same pain they did (children without fathers in the picture, diseases, physical abuse, stolen property, etc), they are publicizing the past actions of these guys. Frankly I don't think the victims are the guys being written about any more than if it was women being written about by men. The victims are the children many of these men are fathering and then leaving in the dust as they go on to the next women. SO many of the accounts by different women describe men who have skipped out on supporting their children both financially and with love. As long as men can continue to evade their responsibilities particularly on this front I say post away!
