I cant believe this Dianna woman is actually saying that her 12 yr. old daughter Bri needs all that stuff done!!!  I do believe that Dianna needs some brain surgery.....take out some ignorance and put in a little compassion and be a Mother to her child and not judge her so much!!  I feel so bad for that child to live with such a judging stupid person.....that poor child must have NO self esteem!!!!  You NEVER tell a child that they "need to be fixed" because in the same sentance your also saying that "they are broken, or not right!!!"  Shame on you Dianna!!!!  People like you dont DESERVE to be Mothers!!  p.s. Cant wait to see how much "fixing you had to do to yourself"

My daughter was the red headed, freckeled little girl with a large space between her unusually big front teeth. She had a very hard time in school with the other girls teasing her. I cannot imagine if she had, had to come home to a mother that only reinforced what the others were saying. What about beauty that comes from within? Or the fact that personality far out weighs outward appearances. Daily as her mother I loved her dearly for the beautiful child that God had given me. In high school she was by far the most beautiful person not only inside but outside as well. She litterally grew up to be absolutly striking!

Wouldn't it have been horrible if I had pushed surgery upon her to change what was growing from within? And what would I have done to her self esteeme? Would she always think a drastic costly fix was the answer to lief's problems?

You are absolutely right.  People should be there for thier children, not try to fix them.  I have children as well and I believe they are wonderful each one is so unique, and I love them so much I could never tell them there is something wrong with them.  One of my children is schizophrenic and he is ok with that he speaks freely of it, and because I have taught him it is okay he is open with others about it, and other children and parents are supportive of him, and considerate of him.  My son is even in normal classes, because everyone believes he is just as normal as anyone else.  I am proud to be his mom and I would never change him or trade for anyone else.

So when you say shame on that mother I agree. She should feel ashamed of wanting a different child.

Hello ,

I am Diana and I would like to respond to YOUR ignorance!

How dare YOU judge me! Do YOU know ME??

Well let me tell you if you did you would know that I DO NOT want Bri to have plastic surgery!

Bri is the one who said that she would like to have surgery done! I NEVER said that !  What I DID SAY WAS "that if I COULD ( NOT that I WOULD) have plastic surgery done FOR BRI I would BECAUSE SHE WANTS IT!!

Let me tell you that if I had to cut off my own arm to help my child "feel" better I would!

Like I said at the show I would do WHATEVER because I LOVE HER!!

It breaks my heart (yes I have one) to see ANY of my children hurt, sad or upset about ANYTHING that they feel is important. And when my child CAME to ME and said" I WANT HELP" that is what I TRIED TO DO BY TAKING HER to Dr Phil!

AND on that note how dare you say I dont DESERVE to be a mother! MY WHOLE life REVOLVES around my children .

Let me just give YOU a rundown of MY day:

4am GET UP make husbands coffee and lunch

4:15 am get dressed

4:20am go get Bri up

4:30 am leave for Gym

4:45am arrive at Gym begin work out WITH BRI

6am Finish work out take shower

6:15am head home from Gym

6:20am  7am get home from GYM make breakfast and lunches for family (Bri goes back to sleep)

7am start wakeing up family

7:30am make sure everyone is up and start serving breakfast and cleaning up kitchen doing laundry. Pray with husband befor he leaves for work .

7:45am get myself ready for work ( get  a WHOLE 10 min for myself)

7:55 am make sure everyone is done eatting and getting teeth brushed.

8am comb kids hair( yes even Bris)

8:10am In car driving children to school

8:20 Drop kids off at school-head for work

8:45am arrive at work unti 3pm

3pm RUN HOME MAKE DINNER for kids

3:25pm  PICK UP kids and drive 40 MILES to dance FOR MY CHILDREN

4pm-8pm  Bri dances (so does other sib)

8pm drive back 40 mile to get home

8:30pm get home do home work WITH MY CHILDREN

9pm get kids to bed listen to them about THEIR day!

9:20pm do MORE laundry , clean house

11pm go to bed  BECAUSE 4 am COMES QUICK!!!

So tell me again that I DONT DESERVE TO BE A MOTHER???

Tell ME AGAIN THAT I DONT HAVE COMPASSION!!!

And please tell me WHEN did I say that I want her to have surgery???

have you seen the show yet?? and PLEASE REMEBER that these tv show are "MADE FOR TV"

and are cut and pasted together to say just what they want them to "appear" to the TV audiance!

So NEXT time DONT BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE UNTIL YOU REALLY KNOW THE WHOLE STORY AND REAL TRUTH!!

I have read all the messages in this forum.  I find it hard to believe that you call Diana judging when you obviously have not seen the show.  You show your own judgmentalism in the names that you are calling her, such as "judging stupid person."  You even say she needs brain surgery.  Do you realize that her daughter, Bri, will be reading this message board.  All she will see is that her asking her mother for help has opened her Mom up to incredible criticism and name calling from people who supposedly care about her.  The final sentence in your statement is appalling.  I am a friend of this family and Diana has NEVER told her daughter that she "needs to be fixed."  She has a loving and supportive home and friends.  If you watched the show, you would have seen that she is incredibly intelligent and actually quite confident as well as being beautiful.  She asked her mom for help.  Diana and her husband do NOT advocate surgery for her or any other child.  She has said she would do anything to aleviate her daughter's pain; for example, cutting off her own arm, if she thought that might help.  The only thing, I think, that she regrets is stating how unhappy she is with her own body and that she thinks surgery would help HERSELF, not her daughter.  Bri is a great kid with a great mom who is doing everything in her power to help her.  You all have made alot of assumptions about this family, such as they have alot of money or that Diana has had surgery herself.  Both of these are not true.  Diana simply came to Dr. Phil to ask for help for her daughter to lose weight and help for her self esteem issues.  She did this at the request of Bri.  Putting yourself out there for public ridicule is quite difficult and I would hope some of you might reserve judgement for her and apply to your own lives which is where it belongs.

This is so absurd, what the hell is coming to this world. Common since, when you are a teenager, your still young and still growing. When they grow up they will need more plastic surgery to fix what they did when they were young because the body will change, as they grow older. I would say 28 and up ok, ya, sure your body is pretty much done growing, if that's what you want, go for it. But be for that, its just plain ridiculous! A child grows upon the things we teach them and their self consciousness comes from they way we teach them as parents. I have two beautiful daughters that have lots of self-esteem very independent out spoken, And it's not because of plastic surgery. Its because we teach them to eat healthy and we do a lot of out door activities, and know they are loved just the way they are. This mother has very serious issues, and I am concerned for her children!
