Living with chronic pain

Quote From: cheledee

I know exactly what you are going through, I have Fibromyalgia too. I find it hard to get through the day sometimes the pain is so bad. When I was first diagnosed 2 years ago all I wanted to do was eat and sleep. One morning I woke up and realized I was fat, I started dieting and lost a lot of weight, but now I keep turning to food(Carbs) for my comfort. I have trouble excercising because the pain gets worse. Anyway Im gonna quit complaining now. I am A mother of 3 and a wife. This is one of my bad days

I too have Fibro.  I am 42 and found out I had Fibro when I was 35.

My most pain is in my neck and shoulders.  I have headaches mostly everyday.

When I overwork on the farm, I pay dearly with pain a couple of days later.

My favorite thing is riding horse, and somedays it kills, but I will not let that stop me.

I also loved playing volleyball, but had to quite that because I would hurt so bad.

I do take pain medication when needed, and some times have to go to the hospital

for my headaches.

For exercise I have found swiming is the best thing.  I too ran 4 miles daily, and had to

quite.

It is a very hard thing to live with, Chronic Fatige is also with me, and it's not fun.

I baby myself and try and take good care of my self.

I have two daughters 19 & 22, and I have been married for 23 years.

Today I have been up since 4:00am with a migraine.  I know have an upset stomach

from my pain medication.  Throughout the day I hope I feel better.

Take Care
