Maybe I can reply to your question as to why so many in our society CONDONE sex between adults and young teens. Probably because those that do condone it, are the ones who ARE having sex with our young people. I hope that there are not "so many".
I don't quite agree that we are going down a very slippery slope fast. This pathetic thing, it's been goin' on for a very long time. Remember? It's always been hush, hush. "Don't tell anyone. If you do I'll....." Thank GOD we (those of us who don't condone this type of relationship) are now taking an active part in making sure that these predators are placed behind bars where they justifiably need to be.
