My wife and I are in a familiar boat. Life just doesn't seem to be going our way but somewhere out there, there must be hope. We've tryed paying one debt at a time but the others keep pilling up with interest. All the best to you and your family hope there is a light at the end of your tunnel, your freinds from North of the border.
i read your post and me and my husband are in the same boat

First be glad you are not in credit card debt. Get the phone book out and start calling around for food stamps and get in touch with some of the food banks they will help you.
Call some of the city agencies and see if they can help you guys out for the time being.
when you both get back to work the best thing you can do is start a change jar then a saving account.
Start by getting together a weeks worth of food money Then a months rent and build on that. Then the next time you get laid off or your husband gets sick there will be something for you fall back on. money wise.
