Where Should Your Child Sleep?

Quote From: mrsches

Hello all, this is my first time on here, and I am hoping someone has experienced something similar.  I am  28 years old and pregnant with baby number 4.  My youngest is now 14 months old, and since she was two weeks old, she has blessed us with sleeping for 10-12 hours straight every night!( I followed a fairly strict schedule the first few weeks!)  We moved into a new home about 5 weeks ago, and she had no problem adjusting to her new room at all.  She continued to sleep all night, until about 6 days ago.  She goes to bed great as usual, but then she has suddenly started SHREEKING in the middle of the night.  She screams like she is being attacked.  I will walk to the living room with her, give her a sip of water, and she instantly dozes off..until I walk into her room.  She actually panicks, and screams like she is being hurt.  She is frantically trying to get out of her crib.  She is fine at nap times, and like I said, I put her to bed awake as usual, and she instantly puts herself to sleep as usual, its the middle of the night shreaking!  I am paranoid now as someone said<"maybe you have a ghost" but only in her room?  Can anyone help me???

A ghost was the first thing I thought of before you even mentioned it.  But I don't know why that would be scarying her unless it was getting too close.

Besides the ghost comment (because really, I don't know if you have one) maybe she is trying to get more attention from you.  You bring her out into the living room, maybe she likes that.  Do you have a night light at all in the room?  Maybe she doesn't like the dark and gets scared because she can't see anything.

Just a few possibilites. =)

Take care.

maybe she isn't comfortable in her new room yet, even though she was fine for a while. She could be dreaming and waking up feeling like she is in an unfamilar place. just another thought. I would suggest a night light and maybe some classical music played softly in her room.
