11/15 When Too Much is ... Too Much
Quote From: jodifehlIt may seem out of control to have that many cats but she does have 10 acres. Her will and commitment to the cats does not need to be judged by anybody. If that is what she wants in her life, then let her. As long as she is taking care of them and providing them proper shelter, food, vaccines, medical attention and most of all spaying and nuetering them, then leave her alone. If the neighbors cannot hang with it, then maybe they should move. Her life is not out of balance if this is what her passion is. I did not feel that she was doing this for notarity, she just loves cats. I love cats myself but am not in the position to dedicate my life and financial resources to that extent. All animals are Gods creatures that many have to rely on humans to take care of them. Our responsibility as humans is to take care of them, nurture them and be responsible pet owners. I see her as a person who has taken on the responsibility of all the other people who have so selfishley abandoned their pet or did not spay or nueter her pet. Our society needs more education and help with the explosion of the animal population. What makes us any better than any other creatures God created? To love animals shows a human has a real heart. For the people in the world who feel they are superior to animals and that they are "just animals", shame on you! We need to have more facilities to help decrease the population of cats and that should not happen through destroying them. It should be a law that all cats and dogs should be spayed/nuetered. That is an unfortunate alternative, but it would help get the over population under control and cause a lot less pain and suffering to the helpless creatures. Who has ever proven that an animal is less worthy to have the rights that humans have? Nobody really knows what goes on in an animals mind. It is obvious to me that they live on emotions just as we do. As far as her cats being happy, I am sure they are. As long as they are being cared for. Yes, it is true they need love and attention but also realize they are an independent creature and have plenty of other cats to communicate with. If I could, I would be there to help her out. Have a heart people. Leave her alone and let her live her dream. The ground absorbs the animal waste, get over it and think about what you could do in you community to help at least one homeless cat or other pet. They count on us.....
Kristi has my support and I pray for her and her plight to help save the helpless creatures. I agree with you 100%. She should be able to take care of those cats if she wasn't to. Atleast they are given a place to live. The more she takes in the less that has to be put down. But if the law has anything to do with it they will be put down if they take them from her. Poor lady. Trying to take care of what others don't want. I would help to if I had the money and time. I don't. She is very brave to take on this kind of responsiblity and less selfish. Instead of spending money on herself she spends it on cats. That is very sweet. She has my support. Someone needs to stand up for these animals and I am glad she is doing this.
