You act as if homeschooler's don't exist in society already.  You're oviously completely oblivious and blind to your very own society, because there are MANY homeschooler's out there that have already been "launched into adulthood", who are extremely successful.

I'd like for you to also take into account, all of those people who have been "launched into adulthood" from public school, that have, for lack of a better word, and at the risk of sounding harsh, failed your own society!  Open your eyes, this isn't something new and foreign... it already exists, and if you refuse to look around you, you obviously won't see it!!
