I'll assume that you get along well with others and know how to handle yourself when others disagree with you. So why can't you demonstrate that to your child?
With very young children asking them to imagine how the other child feels is a good way to start. Or asking them how they would feel if so and so did such and such to them. And explaining that you don't want to make other people feel bad.
After all public school teachers appreciate well behaved children arriving in their classrooms.
If you do go the homeschool route, there are homeschool support groups that you can do things with. Most have park days where the children play together. There are also church youth groups, boy/girl scouts, recreational sports and a host of other things your children can participate in that will give them a chance to meet a variety of people.
Virtual public schools are getting started in some states.
