Hi

Bonjour, every one!

Okay, I'm a newbie so be gentle, yes?  3 or 4 years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar II, PTSD, DID (disassociation interpersonal disorder) fancy name for multiple personalities ( at last count I have 11)....whew!  And I'm anorexic.  Does any one else get tired of the med cocktails they keep mixing up for us?  Is any one out there on Geodon?  I haven't been on it a week yet and I don't know if I'll be able to handle it.  I best be close to a bed or some thing soft as soon as I take it because 5 to 10 minutes later and I am out for 4 hours!  YIKES!!!!!  Can any one tell me from personal experience if this goes away?  I take 80mg 2X's a day.  I appreciate any advice y'all can give me.

Different subject:  When I am suicidal and my husband tells me to just go get the gun and get it over with, why do I stay?  Yes, I know it is an abusive relationship but you see that is all I've ever known.  How do you cut the last string?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  The price is getting too high!

Once again I thank you.  Brightest Blessings to you and yours!

Glad to meet you.  Sounds like you are really going through a lot!  I did get tired of all the different med combinations for years.  Seems like there is no way around it from listening to everyone else on this board.   Don't get discouraged.  Keep a good communication going with your pdoc.  Also keep in good contact with a therapist.

As far as your husband goes, My ex husband was abusive, emotionally, and pysically.  When my kids were small I stayed and took it.  NOT RECOMMENDED!   I couldn't afford a divorce lawyer but he ended up divorcing me so that took care of that after my kids were adults.  Are there any women's shelters where you live?  That might be your first step.  You will get a lot of support starting there.  The first step is the hardest.  With all you are dealing with, you should not be abused by your spouse.  I'm now remarried to a wonderfully supportive man.

Hope this has been of some help to you.  Keep posting.  There are some very smart supportive people on this board.

Susan
