Quote From: draveni posted earlier about how much it also breaks my heart to see the abuse that Tecoa is putting on her unborn infant....i adopted a son who was born addicted to opiates. he was premature and had to go through detox at birth. luckily, the only lasting effects from it that we can observe so far are that he is small for his age and is quite hyperactive. however, it could have been much worse and so when i hear stories like this one, i get very angry at "mothers" like this who abuse their children before they are even born!
thank you for sharing your story. maybe Tecoa will read it and it will hit home and help to wake her up. at least, i pray that it does!
I agree with you!!
This is one of the reasons why society must and does allow abortion, sorry to say it but this woman shouldn't have allowed the pregnancy to go this far. She should have gotten an abortion early on knowing she is an addict. Better yet get sterilized before hand especially if she is a prostitute now too!!
To put an innocent infant through this is horrendous and I think the Mother ( pregnant girl on drugs) should be jailed period for child abuse, and made to go cold turkey. The baby be taken and given to a couple that will help it live a better life minus the drunk grandmother and the addicted Mom and "aunt" ( sister).
This poor baby will need all the care it can get and this Mother is not qualified, not bright enough to keep her own head on straight. Must this baby also be used to keep her straight too, or will this baby suffer when she relapses or uses again later as most do?
It makes me sick to see this happen to an infant, all because the Mother chose drugs and then chose pregnancy too. How selfish of her. What was the twins Mother thinking to allow this to go on? Why not confine the twins and make them get off drugs, if only to save her grandchild who hasn't been born yet?
It's hard for me to have sympathy for addicts, as I grew up with an alcoholic Mother. Their selfishness is always more important then any infant or child, and no child deserves this. This is why we once had Eugenics Laws, in this country, and while those laws were abused, not everyone should be a mother. Certainly giving birth does not make a woman a mother, never mind a mom.
My heart goes out to the baby, but these twins made their choices. Their Mom encourages them to blame the step father, not their choices?? True drunk thinking on her part, not to accept blame for her part in their addiction, and to blame the step father is wrong. I wouldn't want them around like that either, until they have been clean and sober and show they are safe! They could be a negative impression on the half sister of the step dad, both by their addiction, their immoral behavior ( another choice) and their denial in how this was their choice not any one elses all the way here!
