Wow! Good for you, steiwheiur!

There are so many children out there who will not receive anything for Christmas.  The fact that Dr. Phil and Robin and their family are working with Toys for Tots is tremendous.  Every child deserves at least 1 toy this Christmas.  Thank you Dr. Phil!

This year we donated $300 worth of clothes and toiletries to a local domestic violence center and $150 worth of cat food, toys, treats, and litter to our local animal shelter.  Unfortunately we have no more money with which to donate, but we hope that Dr. Phil raises a ton of toys for the less fortunate children.

Good for you! I love it when people give in unique ways. Last year in the names of my boyfriend and myself, my grown daughter and her boyfriend donated to the care & feeding of a pair of wild lions in a wildlife sanctuary in Africa...the poor animals were in an unshaded cage on the rooftop of a restaurant in the blazing sun of Teneriffe until they got rescued by the Born Free Foundation (which was started by actors Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna after the movie Born Free was made.) A gift like that touches me deeply. My boyfriend was a little stunned, because he's never had that sort of gift in his life before.

And I know you know that one doesn't only give with money...sometimes the gift of a smile or a silently voiced 'God bless you today' to a homeless person begging on the street can reach in & touch someone's heart even though they may not realize it. We never know how much that can help a person in need.
