Quote From: catluv1It's funny. My daughter has been driving me crazy about buying Waffles a stocking. We found a little one mixed in our Christmas boxes for some reason and tried to tell her that it would be a good one for Waffles. Nope. First she put the small stocking smack on the middle of the mantel (we usually split them up and put them toward the sides) to compensate for it's small size.
Then she decided it still wasn't good enough (with everyone else's being bigger) and asked me again to get a regular sized one. I've not been able to spend money for quite some time (which didn't help with my holiday shopping) so I had to wait. Tomorrow, the money is back in (whew!), so I can get more things done-including Waffle's stocking! lol
We didn't even open the box on the TV because we want to let the kids unwrap it. My husband wanted to just pass it off as something we bought as a gift but I just can't keep the secret of our winning it from them. I'll tell them after they open it. I need to share the excitement as you can tell and I really think they'll be excited when I do tell them we won it. I don't even know when we can try it actually with the kitchen being torn apart. I hope we don't have to wait all winter!
Back to Waffles. I see all sorts of things in her eyes. Worried, sleepy, angry, concerned, sensitive....the list just keeps going. It's just amazing what dark circles around the eyes can do to a face. I must say, it's much more flattering on a bunny!
As for Pounce treats. My cats live for them! I have to ration them though, especially with Chloe because needs to watch her weight a little.
Well, I'm pretty sleepy now. I just realized, it's 11:45. My eyelids are closing and I'm probably not making any sense anymore so, I'm going to get to bed. I have a LOT of shopping to do tomorrow!
Nite
:) Suzanne
I see a TV skit with your daughter protesting, with Waffles, in front of PetSmart since no bunny stockings. Or else I have cyber ESP and that will be on World News tonight. OMG! I hope your daughter doesn't get rings around her eyes if y'all are not able to locate a bunny stocking for Waffles. I hadn't even considered not only bunnies but the children who love them being traumatized by the blatant discrimination of bunnies at Christmastime. Let's see, Waffles could have black eyes because while pregnant Waffles' Mummy ate one too many black eyed peas or sniffed one too many black eyed susans. Or...Waffles could be a Hotot bunny. I think I'll go with Waffles being a Hotot bunny until some studies are done on my black eyed pea and black eyed susan hypotheses. Check out links below. On second google link, type in Hotot. By the way, Suzanne, I am so impressed you and your husband are keeping that surprise until Christmas. What determination and Will Power of the Amazing Grace kind. I cannot wait to hear about their response. For some reason I'm craving carrots. Hint, hint, hint...veggies are our friends... Hugs and prayers and I hope you and us all have a GREAT day filled with LOTS of smiles... :-) SEA
