It doesn't hurt to get it pierced, but the healing process can take a loooong time. You should research it on the internet. Your naval is a hard place to heal, and if you don't take care of it right, you can get and infection fairly easily. I had mine done and everything was going along just perfectly, and then all of a sudden one day, it got all red, and hurt like hell. I almost took it out, but the next day it was better, don't know what happened, I did everything they told me to religiously. I have some friends that got really scared and took theirs out because it took so long to heal. I think it's different for everyone, some have good experiences, and some bad. Just do the research and do all you can to follow the care instructions, but the piercing itself does not hurt, (especially after you've had a couple of beers!)
BTW I think Angelina Joli is beautiful, but for some reason I can't get past her lips! I've talked to alot of guys that think her lips are one of the most beautiful things about her, but to me, they look like they're swolen or something, they just don't look natural.
