01/08 The Dr. Phil House: Teen Intervention

Quote From: luvrboog

I just finished watching the show, and wow, all I hear is how bad the mother is.  Doesn't anybody realize that the aunt is just as equally abusive in her own way?  The teen's aunt does not  appear to be the loving and supportive person she would like  to portray.  The resentment and anger the aunt has  perpetuates the "drama" she dislikes so much.  The mother and the daughter have serious issues together and seperately, the aunt is toxic to their healing.  The aunt if allowed to continue her own abuse will definitely put a road block in a very important positive path that needs to be taken.

Disfunctional families have disfunctional people,   they all need help.

The girl is the important one to save now, from the troubles of pain, anger and shame and from the toxic relationships that led her to stray to the streets of prostetution.

With the power the Aunt showed, if the anger, rage is taken care of may be the best place for this girl to go?  Or none of them?  The Grandmom and Mom showed me what I have seen before: denial about something bad that happened to the child or protected the wrong person?

At least we know the Aunt is emotionally envloved with her Neice even if its not the right emotions displayed?  So that means this girl has 3 adults to help her, if they can get it together?
