What is wrong with you?  You are sitting here arguing and quoting everyone.  I understand it's a free country and you're entitled to free speech, but do you have to argue with what everyone is saying?  We are all entitled to our opinions and I'm not disagreeing with anything that you say, but I don't agree either.  You're sitting there saying I would never do it, I would never confess, Georgia is the greatest place ever.  Well whatever, how do you know you wouldn't do that unless you were put into that situation?  I never got to see the show today, but I've read everything about it and if there's evidence that says he may be innocent well then why are you arguing with that?  Why would you want them to be punished just like the actual murderer?  How does them confessing to a crime that they were coerced into doing, make them punishable for murder?  Maybe for obstruction, but not murder.  Like I said, you can have a your opinion, but that doesn't mean you have to argue with everyone on here when their opinion differs from yours.

now that I know you are a self-admitted drug addict, it explains your attititude.  Never been caught either, apparently.  I, too, was a drug addict, speed was my drug of choice.  However, I didn't forget how to spell . . . However, that's another subject.  I'm just saying you have to remember the state of mind these statements are coming from.  You opinions make much more sense to me now.

Having done time twice, myself, it IS amazing how little we know of our rights until we have lost them.  Today, I can say that I would never admit to something I didn't do.  But ONLY because I understand the system and besides, what are they going to do?  Send me to prison?  Been there, done that (CA).  Of course, I only did two short terms.  But the point is, I KNOW they lie about evidence, I KNOW they will try to coerce.

It just destroys me to see young people in particular bullied and coerced into confessing.  I'm quite sure it can happen to anyone who believes in the system.  We are raised that the cops are the good guys.  And there are still good guy cops.  But if you are the one accused, if you are being viewed as the bad guy, you better start looking out for number one.

I am now a Criminal Justice major and Substance Abuse studies major.  My passion is to help those coming out to have an opportunity to move forwards if that is what they desire.  I've been clean for 7 years this month.  If I can do it, anybody who WANTS to can do it also.
