I agree
Quote From: alakazamYou're simply helping to form a lynch mob.
The Aruban people, the Dutch government, and even the Aruban authorities have bent over backwards to help and accomodate this woman, yet she will not accept the laws and justice system of another country. Let's not try to punish the people and businesses of the whole island when this woman's anger is directed at a few authorities.
The Dutch government even sent their Marines thousands of miles to help look for this teenager - something I doubt that the US government would do in a similar situation. How do you think Americans would react to some arrogant foreigner ranting and raving about how badly our police and justice system was performing?
What I'd like to know - and what has never been asked - is why in the world was a teenager from Alabama allowed to go thousands of miles from her home just for an excuse to party and drink when there are dozens of places in the US that would welcome her tourist dollars?
Why are we concentrating on this one white teenage girl when there are many, many more Americans in similar situations whose stories go unnoticed because they do not have some annoying woman pestering everyone?
I would certainly not blame the Aruban government for banning Beth Holloway Twitty from ever stepping foot on the island again.
I agree with you 100%. You hit the nail right on the head. I wish the news media would do the same.
