The restraining order is a good idea, as for the cell phone bill, well if you don't want to go to court over it, kiss it goodbye, $2300, man that sucks.

Okay, you know she lies, and I'm sure you're not the only one who knows this, I wonder if maybe the threats and the knife thing are just bluterings of a woman who wants her life to have more drama in it, or the threats are of a person who wants to keep her friends in line ?

You were wise to kill the friendship, leave it dead, this woman sounds like she's going down, and wants to take as many people with her as she can, hang tough.

So yes, the Restraining Order is a good thing, a precaution worth taking, and if she calls, let the machine pick it up, if there are threats on it, take it to the police, I'm not sure if you could press charges for uttering threats, but at least then she's on their radar, and it might just be a violation of the order.

And yes, that's theft to me as well, have you spoken to legal counsel about this ?

If she is the same one, she owes and has cheated just about everyone she came in contact with and she is middle-aged. I expect to see her on Americas Most Wanted some day.

My friend was buying a house. She was having trouble with the payments. Her father died and left her a lot of money. Maria borrowed it and promised to pay it back as soon as she received a settlement from a store for slipping and falling. My friend had to trade for a smaller house. She got cancer and really needed the money. Maria owed her for 7 years. She died. Her daughter, and I, went over her financial records. We found a bunch of checks made out to Maria. On the leger line it said things like, "For groceries, for light bill, for shoes" etc.

Maria did receive a settlement for falling in the store. I was at a dance and saw her there wearing an 800 dollar dress and she danced the night away on her permanently injured foot. Since then, I have met several people who Maria scammed.
