You can't try to make sense of this disease. it is the Disease of Insanity! I KNOW, because I have a daughter in recovery (2 years!) and a mother addicted to alcohol, but has been "dry" for 19 years. I was confused when I heard about Joni using herion. i thought she was addicted to pain pills. I hope she can bounce back from this. I think she's a strong woman and she will have the strength to fight this.
