Not necessarily. It's not unheard of when a couple goes through marriage therapy just so one or both can say, "We tried." Maybe he's so egocentric that he believed Dr. Phil would have seen his situation differently. Maybe he truly has no real regard for the consequences of his behavior.
People do many things for a multitude of reasons, even the things that look "right" but is done for the "wrong" reasons.. Now that I've seen the show I'm not real sure that David WAS really trying to save his marriage. He will have to get real and stop lying. I realize that he actually did say that he wanted help. But in a way he seemed a little blase' about the whole deal.And I don't think the laughing was all about being nervous.
