Must Be

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! SHE CHANGED HER MIND IMMEDIATELY...OH PLEASE, are we talking the first time, the second time. How many times do you think she is entitled to change her mind. How many times can she emotionally abouse the twins and their parents???? What emotional damage do you think she inflicted on them when she kidnapped them. Then do you think it's ok for non-custodial parents who divorce to kidnap their children because they are going through emotional turmoil over not having their kids, there is no difference between them and Allison.  She did the crime(kidnapping) now she needs to buck up and pay for those irresponsible decision. Bottom line!!!!

You must really be chasing shadows if that's your arguement.  This woman is a victim.  half baked tirades won't change that. People who make the case for the prospective adoptive parents should at least sound as if they are rational people.  One more from the top.  In Florida, these people are NOT adoptive parents as long as the birth mother's parental rights have not been terminated.  That's not a tirade.  That's a fact.  Bottom line that.

She changed her mind two times within 3 days.  Once was during an 11 hour meeting with no one else on her side present.  This was after a pregnancy where she only gained 10 of the 45  needed pounds for a twins pregnancy, 5 weeks of constantly nursing newborn twins, and very little sleep for at least 10 months!  The only emotional abuse that has been inflicted on these children is the fact that they were taken and kept from their MOTHER after she made a huge life changing mistake.  She changed her mind immediately.  She didn't wait.  That says a lot.

She took her children because she's their MOTHER and she LOVES them and she didn't want to spend another second without them.  I would do the same if someone else had my children.

Especially someone who I knew had taken advantage of me.

I suffered from Hyperemesis twice for 2-3 months each time.  It took me months to return to my normal mental state because it was such a tough disease and I knew nothing about it before it happened.  I can not imagine how she felt after it lasted her whole pregnancy and then when it was over the caring of TWINS began.  How many times have you suffered from Hyperemesis?

Your words are very strong and judgmental. She did not sign all the papers the first time - and she didn't  sign them right away. She said she was in the office for 11 hours and about half way through, she started signing - got through 2 forms, then they took them and she called 911. She didn't finish then - she left with the babies. I can only imagine what she was told that day - I'm sure money was at stake - no adoption - no payment for the attorney. They probably told her it was the best thing and all that stuff you hear women say on the adoption sites. Who would keep a new mom there for 11 hrs!!! Where were her kids during this time? Why did they keep her so long? Who kept her there? Where were the prospective adoptive parents? In the office? That is just cruel to treat a new mom like that. She was still recovering from a c-section and HG! Women get 6-8 weeks off work after delivery to adjust and recover - she didn't get that.

Given hours of being told who knows what - she probably believed them - esp. after a few more days alone with the twins - totally exhausted. She said she was about 108 lbs at the time!! Good grief! She must have been a skeleton. Who could live with themselves for taking kids when a mom was obviously unsure of the decision and too exhausted to think clearly. The 2nd time - I bet she just gave up. Who would allow her to even sign again - if she wouldn't do it after 11 hours, give her a break!!! That is selfish to want the kids at any cost... That is emotionally abusive to her!

I don't see her abusing the kids - if anything, the family who is keeping them from the mom and not giving her visitation as told - those are the ones abusing the kids. They have a bond to their mom - haven't you read the info on the many ways a baby knows it mom and the severe separation trauma they experience at adoption!?! They were with their mom for 5 weeks!!! That is child abuse.

As far as kidnapping - she was still the legal parent and she said 'no' immediately after signing, and other news articles say they didn't always bring the babies for visits, so why wouldn't the mom feel desperate and want to be with them. Seems like a normal response to feeling like you are losing your kids or feel threatened - you run. Nothing insane about that. It's a natural reaction - not the best one, perhaps, but understandable. I don't see her intent as criminal. She is their mother and as she said, she was going through the court process but getting now where. Money talks, I guess. Sure seems like taking her kids and refusing to get them back when the adoption was not final and she said no immediately - that is really kidnapping. They are her kids - not theirs.

This is so horrible in my opinion. The kids should never have been kept with the family they are with - it means the babies have had to suffer from separation and this mother has as well. That is abuse in my mind. It makes it harder for all now. They didn't have the babies for any length of time when she said no - and they must have known she didn't want to let them go - she wouldn't sign all the papers after 11 hours. Why would she suddenly change her mind - after HG and invitro, etc.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
