Quote From: mistycI am in no way a racist, If I dislike someone I have a definitive reason for my dislike. But Grandmafuz is right the media and the goverment always rush to the aid of blacks first out of fear of being called a rasist. It's a big load of garbage that blacks are treated like second class citizens, the black youth of America have a much better chance at getting a free college education than white students, and God forbid they get turned down for a job! whether they were qualified or not they can cry discrimination. I beleive that no one is responsible for you for you, so if you make bad life choices you need to sleep in the bed you made.
Before anyone calls me a rich white person, that has led a life of privelege: When I was a child my family was poor as dirt but I didn't become a high school dropout, a criminal, and I didn't start having children 15 either. My sweet but uneducated parents worked like dogs to provide us with the basic necessities In turn this taught me and my siblings to become hard workers as well, not free loaders
I have to agree with all the media coverage of Hurricane Katrina it seems that Black people are acting like they were the only people affected. I, has a black woman think that is wrong but we have to remember it is the MEDIA (news reports, newspapers, and magazines) showing only black people. The first Red Cross Relief commercial only showed white people. The only black person you saw was the side view of a black man. I have to be honest. I was upset with this commercial. It seemed the news reports were showing only black evacuees starving and struggling after Katrina. But the only RELIEF commercial at that time showed only white evacuees needing the help. So, you want to say that black people are the racists. Go back and check your source and the only source most of Americans have...the media. They are the ones showing that. Please don't think all black people are racists because of what small side you see. I don't let the media be my only view of white people. If that was the case, I would think that all white men born to wealthy families or married into a wealthy family can run for president. On the other side, I would think that all white men from low income families beat their wife and children.
