04/12 Twin Tug of War

Quote From: nomorehg

I have tried to throw away my puking pale several times, but my hubby keeps finding it and pulling it out of the trash. He won't part with it and won't tell me why... just smiles and says it's part of the family now as he puts it back on display in our playroom. Anyone else holding onto their pink puking pale from the hospital?

I could never manage to get all of the vomit into that little pink pail. The spray would just go everywhere if I was trying to get it into such a small target. ... Even if I did manage to get it all in, it would get full and a nurse wouldn't give me another one fast enough... so I would be holding this stupid full pink thing that overflowed all over me. ... Any time a nurse would hand me one of those and I was too sick to speak, I tried to give a look like "this is not going to be enough". I had to use large basins.

I even had a hard time getting it all into the toilet sometimes. There was just so much force behind the vomiting that I broke blood vessles in my eyes, and even on my face so that I had little tiny red dots all over my face. Sometimes it is hard to get it all into the toilet when it comes out with such force that it sprays out of your nose too. ... I always felt like I had done 1 000 sit ups because my abs hurt so much.

I say that we should all get together some day, in a public forum (maybe in Washington, DC), and each throw one of those stupid pink pails into a big pit.
