 Generally there are social service agencies that can offer assistance for people who are unemployed, in bad marriages, need help getting the basics to sustain life.  I would check out Catholic Charities or Jewish Family Services. They usually have such agencies in most counties in the state. The Catholic Charities and JFS offer both counseling services as well as social workers who can help you get connected to whatever aide the State and Counties have to offer. Often times there are services to assist you in finding a job - they help with resume writing, interview skills, etc.  Sometimes you can even find such services through your local Unemployment Office.  You also might want to check with whatever large hospitals are in your area, they often have a free MH clinic which can not only provide counselling to assist with the marital issues and helping to increase your own self esteem but also have SW who too can help connect you to State and County Services. As just a shot in the dark you might want to peruse your blue pages in the telephone book and look under the different County and State agencies to see if there are any programs such as OVR - Occupational - Vocational Rehab which can assist you in finding a job.  You might also want to call "The United Way" - if they cannot help you directly they may have a "Where To Turn" program list (many social service agencies carry one of their own listing all program in the County, divided up by Category such as Abuse Counseling, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, etc) which they can consult and direct you to an appropriate program.   Don't give up hope - whenever the doors seem to be all closed, God opens a window somewhere, just look for it.  I wish you much luck and will keep you in my prayers.
