04/24 Is This Normal?

This is a relationship building experience that life can flow out of. Let's raise the standard of living in our culture. I can't believe I missed this post...I guess it got lost in the shuffle.
Why on earth would you make a girl take a pledge of virginity (as if she is going to say no to Daddy who is promising to buy her a pretty dress and do her hair up nice and all her friends are probably going...) and then not bring up sex at the Ball? That boggles my mind a million times over.
How is this Ball "not about sex"?...It's ALL about sex. It's about telling very young and impressionable girls that their fathers are now in charge of their sex life. The father takes signs a covenant to guard over their daughters love lives.
I just don't see this as the way to go. Seems pointless.
