Replies to '05/10 Obsessive Love: Secrets Revealed'

I have watched these episodes with increasing alarm.  For many years I did volunteer work with battered and abused women. One of the first things we were taught was that the time women are most at risk of being harmed or killed is when they make the decision to leave. (This kind of obsession is all about control- or lack of it.) I am so relieved that Dr. Phil has this whole team of security and legal advisors in place to protect her. So she wasn't an angel, that doesn't give him the right to treat her as he has. I questioned the MySpace page also until I started thinking about how lonely and frightened and isolated she must be. This seems to be her only way to communicate with the outside. I don't think he's got much of a chance to improve. He's a sick pathetic individual who obviously thinks he's smarter and more clever than Dr. Phil and all the professionals he's engaged to help him. It makes my skin crawl. She and her children will be in my thoughts and prayers.
