Advice is Heartfelt!

Quote From: cheriemont

I'm confused--why is the UWS book so hard to get in SA if it's available here online? Will the Dr. Phil people not ship to SA? I thought everything online was EASY to order no matter where you live.

Anyway, I'm happy you were able to get a copy and I hope Rarybaby can get one too--it is the key to permanent weight loss, we all are learning it's not just about the food, eh?

I do have a word of caution for you though. It's great to have an e-mail buddy or even face-to-face buddy to make the journey with, but I also strongly recommend getting involved in one of the message board support groups. The buddy you have may not stay on the program as long as you need to (or vice versa) and if you've focused all your support needs on that person, where is your support then? But the message boards are there for you 24/7 and even though some people drift in and out of being active on any particular board, the basic group is still always there for you. So please do both--there are message boards based on age, lifestyle, amount you want to lose, etc. So browse the list and try several--after a few days you'll find one or two that "feel" right. So then just post regularly after that and you'll find the support you need.

Good luck on your journey,

Cherie

Hi Cherie

Thank you so much for your advice - once again.  It is really appreciated.  Trust me, i need it. I have just joind the Dr Phil website, so I am still finding my way around.

The reason the UWS is so hard to find is that the book came out before the show ( we are a little behind in the shows) so people were uninformed about the book.  Apparently there is a cook book available aswell, would you suggest I get that one to?
