I agree with you....except...even if she was having an affair RIGHT NOW and even Dr. Phil knew about it...IT GIVES HIM NO RIGHT TO STALK, THREATEN AND ABUSE HER....that is the message here. It's like saying a woman was raped because of her provacative clothing....This woman is not being treated with respect like a partner in marriage should....far, far from it. I think she is in peril and I hope and pray that his every step is monitored. As you can see on today's show, he NEEDS to be heard, he NEEDS to direct the conversation/show. Imagine yourself as this man...wouldn't you be humble, scared and listen? He talks constantly. With his therapist there, a lawyer, Dr. Phil, he actually cares that a member of the audience laughs? This is not a man aware of his mental illness. He is almost like a drug addict, total denial. I hope with all my heart that she also wakes up to the danger she is in. She may have become de-sensitized to his behaviors. I hope she can feel just how dangerous he can be. I hope she has friends and family around to help keep eyes on her and the children until she has time to really learn the capabilities of this very, very troubled man.      Diane

 She flat asked for divorce, and has been trying to free herself of Jeffrey,  only to be wheedled and manipulated and coerced and threatened into staying.  He knows she wants to leave!
You should know that his weird behaviours preceded him even meeting Jennifer - his first wife left him because of the same thing!

Did you know that the first so-called affair was following what the wife thought was a definitive break in the marriage?   Jeffrey didn't leave town on a business trip.  He left to start a new life out of state because Jennifer had asked for a divorce - leaving was his response. 

The horrible shock and surprise of finding a man in his house came when he returned home to spy;  it was an arragned date to the zoo,  Jennifer thought she was separated.   Jeffrey raced home to surprise her... to say he might leave, but his son was leaving with him...if he went,  Jennifer would have to give up her boy,  was Jeffrey's demand.  ( The whole idea behind that was to get Jennifer to abandon her request for a divorce).

Jeffery is the worst case scenario, which is why other less extreme sick people have been able to get away with this type of abuse for so long.  No one can "make" you insecure; you either are or are not. You may be hurt, disappointed or even crushed emotionally by a partners behavior, but no one else can be made responsible for your behavior. An issue may push your buttons, but only you are responsible for your actions because only you have control over them.

 

Jeffrey's logic is like following runny scrambled eggs in a blender. Jeffery's behavior is abusive and not OK in any situation. Jail time soon would not surprise me, and would be good news to others who want their families to be safe from someone like this.

you mean the way she walked down the isle when she married him?  Or maybe the way she'd carried their first baby?  he's been this way since "just after they got married & she was preggers with his kid.   Stop blaming the victim it's disgusting.
