I think Jennifer told Dr. Phil before the first show off camera that she would want a divorce and I think Dr. Phils idea was to try to get Jeffrey in a better frame of mind prior to telling him about Jennifer's decisions...hence one reason for the timing of everyting...Dr. Phil even stated this at the end of Ishow #2. I'm sure he also planned for Jeffrey to be in therapy a llloooonnnnggg time.
