05/14 The Dr. Phil House: "Make My Kid a Star"

Quote From: danercdee5

I am not sure if it is what the children want or is it the parent living through their children.  Who wants to be a star?  Or who wants to be a mother of star?  I think each mother or father should ask the child if this is what they want......and ask themselves "or is this what I want?"  I think most of child stars have hit rock bottom recently in the news.  That is a lot of weight to carry around.  Plus the competition thing, how can you say we are all created equal "but my kid is prettier then yours"......there should not be such contest that make children dress up like grown women.  Show your kids like they really are....playing in the dirt, at a baseball game, playing video games, being a straight A student postive things instead of "I look better then 150 other 5 or 10 year olds!

Acting is not looking better than the other kid/s.

Pageants have that.

Acting is not the same as pageants.

Every child has something they do. Why not acting?
