Talent?

Quote From: lindalou65

All I kept thinking though parts 1-3 was "where is the talent in these kids??" They all seemed like regular kids and some are sweet but unusual talent?? It just isn't happening!Someday when they're a little older and look back at the tapes of their performances, they're going to cringe. And the moms are just plane obnoxious (Veronica.....get a clue AND a life and get off this poor child's back!) They (all the moms) should be ashamed of themselves. I feel horrible for these kids who are being pushed way beyond their limits!

I agree with you! I thought that Gracie was very good and deserved to win. The other girl that did the acting scene did not seem to really have put herself into the situation--she knew the words, but didn't convey the emotion. The boys really annoyed me--they seemed so coached, even outside of their performance. And to everyone that sang--it's not that you had bad voices, but being able to carry a tune won't make you a star. You either need to have a great voice (have you seen tapes of Christina Aguilera singing at a young age?) or tremendous charisma. That isn't meant to be a knock on anyone. But since even people with tremendous talent have trouble succeeding, it only stands to reason that if your child wants to pursue show biz, you should make sure that they're eyes--and your's--are wide open!
