Quote From: tat2mamaI just quit smoking on Sunday and today has been a hard day for me. I really can't describe how I feel...I think it may be some withdrawals. I am using the 21mg patch, however I have not used it at night. I didn't smoke while I was sleeping so why do I need the patch then. I am using suckers when the cravings get bad so I have something in my mouth and something for my hands to do. I hope that I perk up and the bad cravings stop soon. Does anyone know about how long it takes for the bad cravings to go away? On the patch box it said 24-72 hours. Does anyone have any tips to help with the withdrawals?
Good job, I didn't use the patch at night either. I walked to help with my withdrawals. You will feel better and it will help with the weight gain. One tip as soon as you can, get off the patches. I actually got addicted to them and stayed on the 14 mg one for 7 months, and then I started back up for almost a year. I also started beading and making jewelry. When I quit this time I used the patch for 3 weeks and got off from it. Also remember nicotine speeds your metabolism up so it will take a while for it to normalize again, so the walking helps with this problem.
