I was very sad to hear your news. That is awful. Had she already promised to give your family custody of the baby after she gave birth?
Things like this makes me re-think trying to adopt. I am working with the The Dept Of Social Services here in the State that I live in. Private adoptions are too up and down for me. I have an Aunt, and Uncle that went through 4 attempts using a private adoption agency. The last time for them was the very last time. She and her husband were choosen by this young lady to adopt her child, they prepared the nursery, bought everything that they could think that the child would need, and then some.
Everything was still set to go until she delivered. They went to the hospital, and picked their little girl up, and then about 3 weeks later, the birth mother decided against it, and wanted her daughter back. Needless to say that it devasted them both. They gave the little girl back to her birth parent, and decided never again to try and adopt.
I truly hope and pray that your family will find that special little baby to enjoy, and love. May God bless you.
