I wanted to share about our experience. My husband and I tried to have a baby for 3 years, He was diagnosed with low sperm count, and I had some thyroid problems, .. we were told that we could conceived a baby naturally but it could take us longer than other couples, the doctors adviced us to try IVF.
We had our doubts but we gave it a go.
The treatment is pretty emotional, exhausting, and unpredictable, you never know what's going to happen every time you have a scan, cycle can be cancel, stopped it, or change it. I'm telling you this not to scare you, but to prepare you. Dont put your emotions and expectations too high, because you never know until the end if it's going to succed. Just try to keep yourself busy, and not to think too much, ... you will experience the roller coaster, your hormones are going to get crazy sometime, but it's all part of the treatment, ...
For me, the worse part of the treatment was the collections of eggs, and the long two weeks you have to wait before you have your blood test. The best one was when I got the phone call saying that I was pregnant, .. I have a beautiful and healthy baby, that's why I can say it's all worthy!!!!!!!
I was blessed that it worked with me the first time, .. and I'm grateful for that. I have friends that I've been trying for few times and havent got pregnant yet. Just one of them got pregnant and had a miscarriage.
I noticed that lots of people said in this web site the IVF treatment in the US is pretty expensive, I'm from Australia, here the treaments are pretty affordable.
Cheer up, keep trying and make your dreams come true, ..
