I don't see what is wrong with improving your appearance.IF WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND NEVER LIKE WHAT YOU SEE INSTEAD OF FIGHTING IT FIX IT SO YOU CAN MOVE ON!!

You only live once...

There IS no difference...it's all irrelevant to who we are.  Our bodies are merely a vehicle, we carry our true selves within.  How shallow are we that we care so much about the outer and so little of the inner.  If you THINK you're ugly, then you're UGLY, if you THINK you're beautiful, then you're beautiful.  If we can create a society with our thoughts first, then by our actions-- then surely we can create an inner sense of self-worth, first by our thoughts, then how we choose to express our lives in the world.  This is evident when you travel to other countries where there is not so much emphasis on physical appearance and more on character and results.  We obviously have too much time on our hands to be placing so much thought on our looks, we need to spend more time being productive members of society and helping others.
