faith and God
Quote From: celticemeI have to agree with Faith's response. Studies have shown that prayer and faith can do amazing things and in the case of mental illness when used in accordance with therapy and meds. The results could be very good indeed. I know for some the thought of meds and taking them for life is a very not fun thing for them. My question is that if you had diabetes would you pray only or pray and add insulin. I would the same questions for heart disease, or any other illness that requires daily meds as a regiment to a healthier life. If there is another reason why meds and therapy are not being sought then perhaps that is what needs to be addressed more so.
Deb I have to say that prayer and faith are a very strong thing. But we live in a time where sometimes other things are needed. Like meds. I have strong faith and still deal with deep depression and bi polar does that make me not have a relationship with God no. LIke the bible says that sometimes a physican is needed for medical problems. apostle luke was a physican and yet a apostle so even they believed in medicine at times. Just my thoughts on it. Hope your hubby stays strong.
