I did write the book with my mother's permission. You, as well as Dr. Phil must have missed her own contradiction on the show. She said, "My daughter stole my story." Then, while sitting on the stage, she said that she tried to get me to write it before. This was the fourth time. I wrote The Eyes of a Stranger as a surprise for my mother. Once I had Publish America on line to publish the book, I had a release drawn up by my attorney to give me permission to use her name and pictures. It made no promise for monetary gain because what I made depended on sales anyway. My mother got upset with me because I wouldn't call her everyday. We had two deaths in our family and I was very busy trying to help my family and taking care of my mother-in-law's finances since her passing. So, my mother threatened a lawsuit at that point saying that she was under the influence of drugs, etc. She lied. Further, when she was on the show, she admitted that she would let the book be published if she got 50% of the profits. I never tried to cheat her out of anything. If it is my mother's story to tell, and she doesn't tell it, why can't I? She had been wanting this book written for 27 years. No one would do it because they were afraid she would turn around and sue them. She proved them all right.
