Good quote

Quote From: amcdaniel1969

For educators to take our trust and stomp on it in such a haneous inexscusable way is unbelievably and utterly disgusting.  When you are entrusted with the care and education of our most precious resource for this country's future you negate that when you take advantage of someone that really does not conceive the ramifications of what they are engaging in. Don't get me wrong I am certain that there are some children under the age of eighteen that wish to argue that they understand what sex is, but I say they dont know the overwhelming emotional place of anguish that these adults are placing them in.  It is unacceptable and rather the perpetrator is male or female they should be in and in my mind under the jail. This gives good teachers a bad reputation and the perpetrators should be ashamed of their rediculous behavior.  Why cant these people find someone that is their age? They need to get a clue, I can guarantee you that as a home day care provider that stays home so that I can be easily accessible to my children I talk to them constantly about what is appropiate and inapprpiate interaction with anyone especially adults and If for any reason any individual especially an educator crosses the line, I will do my best to ensure that they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law with every waking breath taking moment of my life and then some.
I'm only 19 years old and I just graduated from high school. Every single statement you made in that quote is 100% correct. It was very well written, and I agree with you 257%. That was very very good. It was very accurate. You spoke your mind in an honest candid way, and I think that everything you said is totally good. You said Children do not have the ability to predict the consequences of their actions. That is true. I second that and so does Dr. Phil. And Dr. Phil will see that. I know she did it. She wont admit to it, but she did it. There are teens who will argue your opinion. Im a teen, and I wont argue you, i will agree with you. Nicely done, from Cheer.

The boy is clearly lying and he has successfully caused great grief to this women because instead of innocent until proven guilty people JUMP so quickly to believe juicy dirt instead of allowing due process to take place.

I am a high school teacher, and it is frightening how much power students wield. I agree that teachers who abuse their power and influence and do unspeakable acts with children should be thrown in jail; however, you don't even acknowledge that in this case, a few arrogant teenagers have managed to ruin this teacher's life. I would be the first one to stand up for my students. I am appalled at teachers who don't have a moral compass. But I shudder to think what would happen if a student, out of spite, revenge, anger, or ego made false allegations against me. These lies snowball out of control so easily, and to save face, these young men will continue to perpetuate their deception, despite what is true or right or moral. In the meantime, in order to salvage her life, this teacher must endure horror for acts she did not commit.  All so these boys do not have to face consequences for acts they did commit--lies they told. It may seem more noble to support these kids because they are kids, but look at the facts. Look at what makes sense and what doesn't. I'm for standing up for the victim, whether the victim is a child or an adult. These young adults are selfish enough to start and continue lies, yet not men enough to admit what they've done and apologize. I may be wrong here--but shouldn't we at least consider that they are in fact lying? Try not to be so quick to condemn. Look at each case independently and don't assume that because these young men say it's true, it is. I did not assume they were lying--but I didn't assume the teacher was lying either. The polygraph results and the inconsistent stammering of Matt and the other boy convinced me that the teacher, in this case, is the victim.

Please do not start a statement "For educators..........." for any topic.  By lumping all educators in the bunch with the words haneous and disgusting, ( or beautiful and wonderfuly if you will),you are not only discrediting educators ,you are discrediting yourself. If you generalize like that, and finish with a threat at the end, you give credit to being inarticulate and just on a warpath. Direct the issues of the situation without lumping multiple millions of educators across this country that choose to increase their mission field by choosing to teach other people's children. You address pediphilia as if it is a sex crime, it is not. It is a control crime and a sociopathic crime. "Looking for someone their own age" is a ridicuolous statement ......they aren't looking for a partner for sex, they are looking for a person to brutalize .  You sound like  you have been watching too much Jerry Springer.  Let your emotions go and deal with the realities here.

Regardless of the acts of this teacher or that student,  the issue was about deciept and justice.

If people took the time to "listen" and read between the lines, it is not difficult to determine that these young men are clearly untruthful and cannot substantiate their claims.  Too many people want to jump on a band wagon no matter what the subject is or the ramifications their claims may have on innocent lives.  I make a living at listening to field techs, and corecting issues over the phone... they have a great tendency to lie in order to cover up a mistake.  This was the case with these young men when their untruth got blown out of proportion and took on a life of its own.  Especially when the last one said he "Always told the truth".  Evevn Dr. Phil didn't believe that one, and anyone who does... Give me a call, I have a bridge I want to sell you.

I cannot imagine having to go through what  this teacher has had to endure. I believe NO ONE is above and/or beyond reproach and/or suspicion, however that being said, the group dynamic, lynch mob dynamic seems to be appropriate in this situation. When she said she made a stupid mistake, specifically for writing the code letters with the first letter of the sentence, it made me think how much i trust others, people, specifically students. I believe, dr. phil, is in a difficult position, because at the heart of every issue is whether it actually happened or not. Teachers have a delicate line to walk. Students disregard you if you do not "speak their language", yet when it serves them well, they will hang you "out to dry." I believe based on everything i saw on 2 days worth of shows, the teacher was telling the truth, and i think how many times i let students, both male and female come to my classroom on weekends, after school etc, and took them home on various occasions, because no family was available. This show makes me hesitant to "reach out and touch someone" and question whether it will be accepted or interpreted as help or harm...I will have to think about this more, but after a male student and female teacher were arrested in mexico this morning, it just underscores the idea no one is above reproach.

I agree that it is unbelieveable that some adults take advantage of children in any work of life.  Be it teachers, day care workers, doctors, or parents.  That aside, when the judge found these accusations to be false, the teacher and her husband should have started proceedings against the boys.  When they lied, they make it hard for kids who have been abused to be taked seriously.  They should have been sued for all they or their parents have.  I'm all for turning in teachers who mistreat children, but false accusations....wow....no one who works with kids would ever be safe.  I know of two middle school girls who made up a story about a male teacher because he gave them a D on their report card.  Luckily, one of the girls started crying when she was giving testimony to the judge.  She finally confessed that she did it to get back at the teacher because of her bad grade!!  The teacher's family went through hell!  What would one do if they were accused wrongly.  What would you do if one of your older kids accused you of something you did not do?
