Loyalty

Depends a lot on how the mother acts, how smart the children are (and children are very, very smart), and how old the children are. Children are very smart about sour grapes. Children are very loyal to their mothers. Mothers in turn should not manipulate that loyalty to serve their own bitterness and envy. In a divorce the hardest thing to do, when there are children involved, is allow the children the freedom to stay out of the fray. Very rarely does it happen. Divorce can be worse than death to a child as a result. Those sour grapes are poison.
