10/30 Body Dysmorphia

Quote From: longwalker

I was sympathetic to the plight of Diana and others with this problem, but now after hearing Cheyenne; I am more toward mad. Someone needs to take her to a burn unit and let her see people her age  who have been badly burned and let her see somebody who has a real reason to feel badly about themselves. She needs to get over herself. She needs to go volunteer at a soup kitchen and see how people with real problems have to exist. Her problem is being too wrapped up in herself.

Are you kidding me???  What a waste of air time Dr. Phil.  This young lady doesn't know what problems are!!!  She thinks that she's ugly, big cheeks, uneven lips, pleassssssse!  Boy, if she's ugly I must be hideous, I better stay home today, I might scare everyone that comes in contact with me.  Get a life!!!! I'll tell you what worrying is, my father has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and has 9 months to live, that's worrying you spoiled brat.  Go to St. Jude hospital and take a look at those little kids without any hair that won't live for very long, that's something to worry about.  Dr. Phil, don't waste your time with these spoiled brats that have nothing else better to do than feel pity on themselves.  How about a show, like Oprah recently did, when you're faced with eminent death, how do you look at life?

Diana definately seems to genuinely have this disorder and I do feel bad for her and others suffering from this! Though Diana is not unattractive!! I believe SHE feels she is. I know this is a real disorder and I pray for the people who really suffer through it! Cheyanne on the other hand,  in my opinion full of it. She is insulting to people who really suffer from this. She probably wants to be on Dr. Phil with this Bullcrap sob story in hopes some modeling or other agency will discover her. She is a fake and I agree she is way to wrapped up in herself.

Cheyenne, you said that you would fake being sick just to stay home, and I think you are faking again. What a load of bull. If you truely had this disabling condition you wouldn't be sitting on that stage looking Dr Phil in the eye. You would feel so bad about your looks that your head would be down trying to hide your looks. Shame on you for pretending to have this condition. You are more or less making fun of anyone with BDD and anyone who doesn't measure up to your standards of beauty. Get a life and let someone be on the show that really needs Dr Phil's help. Did you ever stop and think that you may be wishing ugliness upon yourself by pretending that you are ugly. Wouldn't it be sad if you had to go through life looking "bad" like the majority of us poor souls have to. Did you get all of the media attention that you were hoping for?

This is the first post I have read that I agree with wholeheartedly. Dr. Phil even said she didn't have BBD. She is just a spoiled brat, who should worry more about the kind of person she is becoming rather than what she looks like.
