Infertility
Quote From: babybelle_caHello - I have PCOS as well and have been married now 6 1/2 years. I was TTC to concieve for over 6 years, almost 3 years in infertility treatment. Keep positive, trust me (I didn't all the time and it was very difficult at times, I know...especially when everyone around me was getting pregnant). I was in monitoring evry cycle for over 2 years and only ovulated twice in those 2 years due to the PCOS. I maxed out on fertility meds (Clomid, Femara, Dexamethasone) to no avail.
I finally found a fertility specialist here in Canada and he performed Ovarian Cautery and removed Cysts from my ovaries (25 from each side) and used a laser to put small cuts on my ovaries. 1 month later, I ovulated and had Intrauterine insemination and am now 21 weeks pregnant. I honestly did not think it was possible. Keep looking for the right doctor, meds and even ovarian cautery I believe are not that expensive (Mine were covered by my work medical plan except 200.00). Keep your chin up, I know it is a tough ride!
Also - at the same time I was seeing a naturopath and they have many types of treatments for infertility as well. Good luck!
Hello, sure wanted to let you know that my best friend has PCOS and was just getting ready to start the invetro process and she was maxed also on all the meds as of Clomid, Femara and ther was another on, can't remember, but they did a check for blockages and the next month, the meds she took to have her cycle, didn't work, nothing came and she took a test and it was positive... Stay strong, I too am having problems getting pregnant and they don't know what is wrong or why we are having problems... Good luck, I know staying hopefully is hard but that is my only advice!
