It takes two to tangle but also takes two for a resolution

She's a meanie Bridezilla.

I side with the bride on this one.  The mother appears to be very manipulative.  She has no insight in regards to how her behavior is contributing to the problem.  One can't reason with someone who is unreasonable.  People who want to be the center of attention are almost impossible to deal with.  They are used to getting their way and calling all the shots.  When someone challenges and confronts them, they just can't deal with it.  This mother knows that she is not number one in her son's life anymore and isn't dealing with it well.   What she appears to not get is that this isn't about her.  Whether she loves or hates the bride, she should support her son.  The mother has to respect the bride, even if she believes deep down that she is the devil!!

When people get married, I always thought that the spouse came first.  The spouse and son are burn't out and have repeatedly tried to talk to the mother (trying to be the hero).  When the person on the receiving end isn't willing to listen, what is one to do over time?  Should they keep coming back for more punishment or stay away? Their came a point where the son and bride realized that they were not going to get anywhere.   Parents do not have the right to treat their kids like crap.  Nothing gives them that right.  If the do treat them like crap, there should be consequences.
