well obviously she hasno t been treated nice by his mother, dont you think otherwuise why would her own son want no part of her life

I saw a family with problems on both sides. Ultamately its the son's choice not anyone else's who her marries or starts a family with. I saw the MIL dishing her fair share of disrespect and rudeness out not just the DIL. the son agreed with most of what his BTB was stating and I dont think that it';s because he's whipped. I think that its because he loves her and its true.

When I saw the previews on this, I said to myself "Dr. Phil is going to put this btb in her place."  Who does she think she is to deny her future mil the pleasure of being at her son's wedding.  Any son who cannot say they want a relationship with their mother (unless there has been extreme physical abuse) has something wrong.  After the "honeymoon" is overy with the btb, she will be yelling and screaming at him like she does the mil.  Both sides are at fault, but it seemed like Dr. Phil felt most of the blame belongs to the mother.  He said the couple had "caught her speeding".  Well, yes, but WOW! the couple had also been "speeding".......treating an elder with such total disrespect.  I am a mil and I would never tolerate that type of treatment from my child and/or their spouse.  The btb's mom showed the true colors by showing she has the same feelings as her daughter.....like mother, like daughter.  I feel sorry for this husband who will soon have the btb's anger turned on him for who knows what........maybe something as simple as sending a dozen roses and a poem......by then his mother may be dead or have totally removed herself from the son's life (at his request).  Life's too short....don't mess up when it comes to family.  A sad, sad tale for America and how parents are abused by their grown children.
