Small Breasts and exposure...way far off

Quote From: jenmousie

I hope I never have the misforturne to take one of my children to a doc like you.  I've actually been thanked by the docs for breastfeeding in their waiting room because they want the low income patients they have to understand that it is natural and that they don't have to resort to formula.  And BTW, I don't have small breasts that I'm happy are swelled from milk.  My dream for when I'm done with my child bearing is to have the dang things reduced!  Besides, once you get past the first couple of months of breastfeeding engorgement isn't much of an issue anyway.

Perhaps you are fixated with breasts as sexual objects.  I guarantee  you that most breastfeeding mothers will tell you that their breasts have become strictly functional objects for them.  If your fixation with breasts as sexual objects is causing you distress perhaps you should stay home to do your eating.

I have no clue what your talking about.  I know lots of wome who don't have small breasts that aren't discreet when they breastfeed in public and i also know lots that do and the same goes for small breasted women.  I think maybe you are simply insecure about yourself and looking for faults in others to make yourself feel better.  I think your way far off and what does it matter anyways,,,,DONT LOOK.....IS IT REALLY THAT HARD...MY Gosh some people act like babies when it comes to this sort of thing..  BREAST IS BEST>.....Find one article that proves otherwise.  And if God didn't intend for us to feed our children by breastfeeding then we wouldnt be able to ..  Also we came into this world naked and the only reason we ever became ashamed of our natural bodies (without clothes) was because of sin.  Its all the sick people in this world that have a problem with it.

Dr Joy,

It is too my dismay that you practice medicine, and have patients who listen to you.  I have 3 children, age ranges from 11 to 11 months, and not once has a doctor tell me I shouldn't breastfeed in public.  They have all encouraged to feed my child on demand.  I don't flaunt my breast for the whole world to see, but I also don't cover up like I should be ashamed of my act of feeding my child.  I am a nurse, and worked with doctors who encourage woman to breastfeed, not bottle feed for the health and well being of the child. I know in your training your were made aware of the benefits of breastfeeding over bottlefeeding.  I like the woman before me have large breasts, and plan on having breast reduction when I am through breastfeeding my children.  I am not FLAUNTING my breast for sexual pleasure for anyone, I am FEEDING my child.  My 11 yr old daughter thinks it is perfectly natural for me to breastfeed my 11 month old daughter, and is not the least be ashamed that I do it in public.  On occassion while out, she will hand her too me and tell my to feed my daughter.  As a "doctor" do you find this wrong too?  Breastfeeding in public and anywhere else in Texas
