This article describes the effect of ultrasound on fetal rats.
Fetal brains are watery mucuos like organs.
Ultrasound is done to let impatient parents know the sex and "what their baby looks like."
They are also done to protect physicians from malpractice.
Ultrasound is radio waves that bounce off the hard and soft tissue of the fetus to create
an image. We've only done ultrasounds routinely in the past 20 years.
Vaccinations have been around much longer.
As far as mercury goes, there has been mercury in the environment since we began burning
coal for power plants and industry and heating. Probably far less today than 50 years ago.
I'm much more interested in prevention that treatment.
It would be interesting to ask parents of autistic children if they had ultrasound.
I had several ultrasounds but that was during pregnancy, and my son was fine until he was about 2 and this was 6 months after I stopped breast feeding. My suspect is the formula if Dr Sears is correct and there is a metabolic issue. My son did not get all the vaccinations, never whooping cough and he was 5 before getting the MMR, as he had allergies from a month old. He had reactions to all vaccinations so we were doing 1 at a time and they did not appear to be a direct cause at the time. I had a friend with a son that had pneumonia when he was born that has more autistic symptoms and is harder to communicate with. His son's autism showed up around 2 as well and he is also very bright. My son had Tomatis Therapy at 7 and that changed him a lot for the better. He seemed almost normal at that point. The thought was that these kids are so bright and the TV seems to zone them out that they check out of the real world. I would point to TV not being good for these kids.
I would like to find out what tests can be done to determine metabolic/physical issues that contribute to this condition. My son was really quite normal by age 9 and then he suffered an injury at 13 that put him back to an earlier stage. It was a head/neck injury. Perhaps gathering facts in more detail could determine what is triggering so many children to show signs of Autism. My son's brain scan shows autism but he is a 16 yr old junior in High School, in marching band and on the swim team with a high GPA. There are a lot of things you can do but it is a lot of work. It would be nice if there were medical tests to check physical or biological issues and some way to determine what is different that is causing so many children to have signs of Autism. We eliminated allergies and that changed the anger/emotional issues. His few fits were fixed by getting rid of abusive babysitters. I wonder if vacinations or formula/foods caused a metabolic issue.
