Hi some good links for most up-to-date medical info is www.medlineplus.gov
Quote From: jtfjmjrThe depression obviously, also having major conflicts with my thyroid meds. Just can't seem to get it sorted out. I have a serious weight problem that I can't control, and I have a seizure disorder that's hard to get under control. Thinking about it now, it seems kind of silly Thyroids CAN do a number on emotions and weight. We noticed a link in our Irish Setters seizure problem in a blooming bush/tree that grew on perimeter when it bloomed, high sodium (salt) is she ate ham scraps, and stress when we got antoher dog playmate. Playmate wasn't her idea and she liked being numero uno. Salt easy to remedy with no more table scraps. Saying this because new research has found food, scents and stress can precipiate seizures. Latest research is on www.medlineplus.gov as my information is a few years old. I know you are a people ... just there are similarities. I believe there is a new device that can be implanted to control seizures although I have forgotten the name...being used on depression too I think... Nothing is silly that is causing you not to feel your best or share your concerns in hopes you can feel your best soon. My prayer is that your being proactive leads to what makes you feel your best. So many people have weight issues that Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Loss challenge is a number one seller and at most library. Much of the information available in search box above. However, thyroid can do a number on waist line and why our Irish Setter, Cyndee Pooh, was known as the biscuit bandit (to Tigger and D.C.) and she could not get enough water. Cyndee Pooh had BOTH thyroid and seizure problems. God rest her little doggie soul... Hugs and prayers, SEA Check out below and www.medlineplus.gov for latest information (for people) on thyroid and seizure treatments.
