Formula is NOT just as good as breastmilk, nutritionally. That's not an opinion, that's not debatable, it's scientific fact proven time and time again. Even the formula companies themselves are obligated to acknowledge that their product is inferior to breastmilk, hence the government-mandated "breast is best" on formula cans. Anyone who doesn't breastfeed ISN'T doing what's best for their baby from a nutritional standpoint, because what's best for babies to eat is breastmilk, end of story. That doesn't mean that people who formula feed are bad mothers by definition, or that they fail to do what's best for their babies in other areas of life, or even that breastfeeding is the be-all and end-all of motherhood, but you can't claim you're doing what's best for your baby by formula feeding. It's a lie, a statement contradictory to all known fact.
