I wonder too, how does he pick his guest

What about the larger ladies?  Any makeover or shows with suggestions on how to improve your looks and self confidence have mainly chosen slim to average women.  Those of us who are 250 lbs or more (I'm 52 and closer to 300 lbs) have excessive "curves" that we would like suggestions on how to diguise until we can lose the weight.  In some cases we need our selfconfidence built up to even try the make up suggestions without making expensive mistakes (buying the wrong product and never using it).

Some of the clothes suggested on these makeover shows run on the expensive side for the average person.  Comments like..."and her slacks from XYZ store are only $150 or $75.... not everyone can afford that much on a single item.  I am a single person and only work part-time so I'm doing good if I can afford $150/yr on new clothes shopping mainly at Walmart and Penningtons (in Canada) and only on sale.

Makeover shows; I just watch and dream, because that's all I can afford.  I hope Robin or one of her assistants read this post and think of us.

I wonder the same as you.  I am 38, have 4 kids ages 5, 8, 9 &19.  A 20 year old son-in-law and a 4 month old grandson.  Two years ago I weighed 130lbs.  Now I weigh 200.  I feel so old, frumpy & ugly.  I am so busy taking care of my family that I haven't changed my hairstyle in years and all my clothes are a size 7.  When I had lost my weight 2 years ago I got rid of all my "fat" clothes.  Now I am left with stretch pants and big t-shirts.  I would give anything to be picked for a makeover and for ideas on how to look "better" in clothes.  I don't think we will ever be picked because at the reveal, we will still be fat.  I'm going to try and lose weight again and fit back into my size 7.  My logo is "70 for 7".  Good luck to you and maybe one of these days us "chubby" women will get picked for a makeover.

I am 57 an over 220, so I can relate to what Linda is saying.  I also can relate to the expense of buying new articles of clothing.  So, how can we take what we have and still look better or more confident? What about a show that covers heavier people without the wherewithall to buy new products or duds?

How about a show with "real" women on it?

OK I am a large woman also.  I get my clothes at Walmart and also Freecycle.  I always see postings from women who "had the surgery" and have eons of size 4X, 3X, 2X and 1X to give away.  Craigs List also has a free area where you can find (once in a while) clothing.  And yes, some of the clothing is designer clothing.

Linda, if you go on line and try womanwithin.com and then go on couponmountain, you can get coupon codes to stretch your clothing allowance.  Actually there are a bunch of coupon codes you can use.

I am 50 and fat.  I am also 50, fat and frugal.  Linda good luck to you.

PS If you look up NAAFA that is an organization for people of size.  NAAFA is an advocacy group for people that are of size.  There may be references where to buy clothing and other things for you.
